Spring 2006 Fashion Preview

Is it time to think about Spring already?  With green peeping through the snow and unseasonably warm temps...Why not?  So we aren't able to wear open toe shoes, short skirts, and mini shorts...it won't hurt to do a little planning.

Spring's '06 fashion forecast isn't too far off from last season.  Ladies...if you've invested in cropped jackets, pieces with sophisticated prints, and the oh-so-hot white trousers...you're half way to completing your wardrobe.  A very important note to keep in mind when updating your closet--always spend less on trendy pieces and definitely splurge on the classics.

This season there's no shying away from Bold Colors and Fabulous Prints.  Think oversized florals and hot pop-art designs.   The key to this look is to keep accessories at a minimum.  You want to compliment--not cause a distraction.  For those nervous at the thought of prints...Neutrals in rich creams, hot whites, and tans are also dominating the runways.  And don't forget to include pieces in soft, creamy Muted ShadesMetallic Gold is also holding strong from Fall 2005.  Rather than a high sheen, look for more subdued tones like antique gold.  Other trends to look for this season are Billowy Dresses, Full Coats, Pantsuits, and Trouser Shorts as a nice alternative to skirts.
